New guy vs CR-840

Yeah lesson learned for sure about those amps and pre-drivers I really didn't do any research before grabbing this thing as a project. Thankfully it seems like those are ok.

So besides the lamp replacements, what other maintenance should I do? Should I continue to recap this unit or don't mess with something that isn't broken?

I'd really like to get another faceplate for it.

All the pots are done and the power switch. I will do all the other push button switches tonight.

So I shouldn't bother with any other caps then?
 
Slowly changing the caps out, I got another ten or so done last night. Realized I am missing a few more so I’ll have to put in another order. All of the power supply section is done now. I may be imagining things but I think the sound and performance Is improving.
 
Ok I’m at the point where I am waiting for bulbs and some more caps that I overlooked in my initial order. The only thing that I have left right now that I can install are the filter caps that I have.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to discharge the ones in the receiver and how to remove them?
