New house, living room setup!

I just moved into a new house (with a friend). It was time to get out of where I was.
At my old place, the living room was full of audio gear I was displaying and repairing (I am a full time tech)
Here, the living room is actually a living room. The rest of the gear, and my lab, and main system are in the walkout basement. So a dedicated living room system was required. It was thrown together with what was on hand, but I think it is a pretty suitable system.
It consists of a Pioneer SX-850 that was in the right place at the right time (was planning to sell it)
Yamaha NS-690 speakers (which I had as mainstays in my old demo system)
Dual 1245 Turntable that was also in the right place at the right time
A newer Yamaha CD player that has a USB port so we can plug our phones into it.

The Pioneer wasn't restored when I put it in the system, but of couse I had to restore it. I finished that last week. It made a night and day difference, even my roomate was impressed with the change. Every pioneer I've recapped in the last couple years has had leaking caps. I think it is a pretty decent fit for the system and room. Not too big, not too small. Great condition. Nothing is too complicated for other people to use.

This sentence made me realize that not a single member of my family or friends knows enough about audio gear (or cares) to even turn my system on, much less play something through it. That's kind of sad.

My roomate is also a musician, he gets some use out of it. He can plug his phone into the USB port on the CD player, and listen to stuff he just recorded on a proper system.
There's lots of buttons but not everyone needs them all.

Clean and classy looking living room setup. Imagine my living room looks similar to your old place and I'm not a tech.

How uncluttered. Quite a difference from the old place!
Clutter is still here, just not in the living room. My main system, the lab, and the display gear is all in the walkout basement now. And there is a garage some stuff is stored in. I should post the new lab. It is much more efficient.
