:thmbsp:hello all, as many do , I have been lurking for a short time and have finally made the jump to intro myself. recently became interested in 70's audio hobby, have an old pioneer to dust off {purcased new in 78?) and see if it still works. enjoy doing the garage sale/thrift store search as time allows. I am in Toledo ohio, any ideas for parts/service/deoxit sources in town? will post later in forums, enjoy the wealth of experience here! happy independence day!! G

Hey goonride49,

Welcome from a fellow lurker. I don't live in the Toledo area so I can't address the local parts/service inquiry but there should be at least one Guitar Center store in your area which should sell DeOxit. The local GC is my source here in Fresno, CA. Their prices are actually cheaper than ordering online from a discount seller because there's no exorbitant shipping cost. Good luck and a happy 4th to you too.

Welcome,I live close to Cincinnati so I can't recommend a deoxit source but there are many AK members from your area.GC does have decent price on it!

Welcome, fellow Buckeye! You can usually find De-Oxit at Radio Shack, but if you don't mind paying shipping, you should consider buying it from MCM Electronics. The price is lower than Radio Shack, and they are in Dayton. They have many other items you could probably use; cables, test cds, speaker wire... Use the link at the bottom of the page and AK gets a kickback.

Welcome to AK from a misplanted Buckeye! But because the roots didn't take I'm headed back to the Dayton area after 27 years in Denver!
