New Isolation Feet for My Pro-ject Essential Turntable

Hi everyone!
I have upgraded my project turntable with an acrylic platter in the past and for a while I wanted to replace the stock feet with nicer looking ones:

These are custom made by the folks at mnpctech .

The installation process is quite easy. First you gotta fix in place the tonearm (I used some blue masking tape) and remove the belt, the platter and the anti-skating weight. I flipped the whole thing upside down with the dust cover on and used something between the table and the dust cover to prevent scratches. Then you gotta remove the old feet and replace them with the new ones, reusing the same holes but not the screws as the new feet comes with their own screws.

The screws are quite long and you don't have to screw them all the way in. The box comes with instructions but I followed this video to make sure I was doing the right thing.

Pretty happy with the final result. It surprises me the amount of mods and accessories you can easily find online for this model to increase performance or just cosmetics.

Is this one of the free promotional sets that bill sent you for free with the condition that you write about it with pictures? I don't have a problem with that but you must disclose that first line in your post. I d funny know if it is AK policy or not but it is the right thing to do.

Not sure if your Pro-Ject has a speed control unit in it or not. If not, I can tell you from personal experience with a Debut III that the speed box is the biggest bang for the buck improvement you can make.
IMHO.

Request Black anodized for my son's Pro-ject debut.
It is looking pretty good, what type of weight do you have on your TT? I am looking for a nice unpainted one without the bubble thingie on top (to make it a little more elegant)

Also, quick update, the feet are really working well against accidental bumps. The project essential is built with a very lightweight plinth and it is very easy to move it around by accident. I'm quite clumsy myself!

it was generic no name brand on Ebay, there's many styles and weights to choose from

He's using these Isolation feet for Project-Audio Carbon Debut Turntable

I ordered a set for my Sansui SR838. I got the black anodized for an extra $25. I love the fact that they look stock.

I did not hear any increase in sound quality, The vibration absorption increase is noticeable instead. I often bump on the shelf the tt is sitting on and now it is less likely to skip.

Really dig your setup! I started with a Project Carbon Esprit and within a year replaced it with a Project "The Classic" when they first came out in 2016. When I moved up to my current VPI Prime Scout, I repurposed my two Projects into one, combining their parts for a mono playback system.

Some of the parts are from my Classic while the plinth and tonearm are from the Carbon. I wanted to keep it stealthy so it would fit on top of my Oppo Universal Disc Player. Probably not the best base in the world, but so far it's worked great and is perfectly level--however, I think that some nice feet like you have would reduce the resonances that could emanate from the steely disc player, so thanks for your thread.

The platter is really nice--from the Classic. Milled aluminum embedded with thermoplastic elastomer to make it inert. The cartridge is a Grado ME+ mono with a strapped output and the preamp is a Project Tube Box DS. Sounds amazing with both old and new mono (microgroove, dynagroove) recordings.

Thank you! Love what you did mixing the parts of the two turntables, the result is pretty unique. I think its cool that Project keeps this compatibility (probably unwanted) between their TTs.
