New Jukebox!

Well I bit the bullet a couple of weeks ago and got a used Wurlitzer OMT 1015 45RPM vinyl jukebox. Mine is a reproduction of a 1946 Wurlitzer 1015 Bubbler jukebox. Although it is a reproduction, it is a 1989 model and it needed a complete rebuilt. The only thing that worked on it was a couple of lights and the bubble tubes. It had so many things wrong with it, I almost scrapped it a couple of times. I got all the lights working on it, but I had to take it to a pro to get the record changer working. He finally fixed it for me and it now works perfectly.

I finally got it all full of rock and roll and doo-wop 45's from the 1950s and I got all the title strips all printed up. The jukebox was originally at The Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in Dallas. The guy I bought it from bought it at an auction, but I don't think he ever got it working. It now looks and sounds excellent. Here is a picture of it and also a video of the jukebox playing a record.

Very cool JukeBox. When I was growing up my oldest brother did repairs on jukeboxes so we always had at least one or two in the basement. The one that sticks in my memory is an old AMI that held about 60 45’s. The changer was visible through the window glass and the lower section had the revolving color lights. Was a lot of fun to watch and actually sounded pretty good. Enjoy your new toy... :)

Beautiful AMI you have there. The Original poster's German Wurlitzer is a very good machine and easy on records. Well made too. Can be tricky to service due to being complex but a very nice juke. I have a restored Seeburg AY 160 at the transmitter site which is a superb juke.
