New Mc Owner!

Hi all,

I’m new to the forum, but couldn’t resist joining as I’m also a proud first-time MC2125 owner.

Have Bluesound Node 2i / Cambridge Audio CXC > Audible Illusions Modulus 3A pre > MC 2125 > Cornwall IVs.

The amps L/R gain controls are a Godsend for the M3A which has high gain for a pre.

Amp is so easy to listen to.

So are the Cornwall IV's. They are the best Cornwalls I have ever heard. I heard my first Cornwalls in the middle 60's. Then Klipsch installed the 3 ordered filter to protect the T-35 tweeters and a peak at 6.3 KHZ was formed which was a real turn off for me. Then came the ceramic magnets and the the metal diaphragms and I was totally against Cornwalls. I am so glad the MK IV was introduced.

But just between you and me I would rather have a MC 502. Smooth sound with better woofer control and Power guard to protect those valuable midrange drivers and tweeters. I will say I still have my MC 2505 so I know all about the sound of your great MC 50's.

Yea man!!! That's awesome welcome to the club!! The mc2125/2155/2255 is an AWESOME piece of their catalog, and an excellent first piece! When the time is right, you have to hear it with a mac preamp. Whether you stick with something period specific or get something new, you'll hear those Cornwalls come to life in all kinds of new ways
