New Mcintosh

I just made some major upgrades, mostly to Mcintosh gear ( I fell in to some $), now I understand why this brand has such a loyal following ; it's better than anything else I have experienced. I've had NAD, Yamaha, Counterpoint,ARC,Pass Labs, but the Mcintosh stuff I just bought is superior , as I suspected. Always admired Mcintosh but thought it was over rated. It is'nt.

You are off to a great start there........how are you implementing the MEN220? Are you using the sub crossover facility at all, or just using it for room correction?
If I could afford one, would most definitely replace my BSS crossover with a MEN220....
What speakers are you driving with the MC452?

Its a great experience discovering MAC and you have some sweet pieces. The next step is the pre-amp. You can choose tube units or SS units, or even the combo units, C500 or 1000. Having the 220 you don't need tone controls as the 220 can be programed to do the same work though not as easily as a C-46 or 2300. You might want to take the digital plunge by selecting a d100, c50 or 48. Good luck and enjoy the tunes.
