Welcome to the AK Forums from a fellow Minnesotan! I hope you enjoy your stay!

I have a Toshiba SA-750 that I think is a very nice unit indeed. I doesn't have the drop panel front that you are looking for, but it is still a great looking unit none the less. The Toshiba units fly a little under the radar and were never sold in the large numbers that the Pioneers were, but there are still some out there. Good luck with your search.

Welcome! I also am from Minnesota (Mpls). I had no idea we had so many on the forum. Minnesota AK Fest????

Hello Everyone. My name is Chris. I found your site while researching vintage receivers and promptly joined. I'm 33 years old, and from 1975-1991 my Father was the manager of various stereo stores. I grew up with high end audio equipment at the house all my life. When I got to be driving age, I stuck a ton of money into my car audio habit and largely ignored home systems because of living in apartments and what not.
Now I have a beautiful home in Central Minnesota and am getting serious about having a vintage system. Currently I run a newer Onkyo receiver to a pair of Cerwin Vega RE30s. The only thing hooked up to it is my computer - with a serious library of music. I'm putting together pieces to make an old school system that will probably blow my "new" one away, and thought I'd join up and read about all the gear others on this site have.
I'm a guitar player, and even though my Les Paul through my Marshall stack sounds sweet, I long for hearing a great home stereo system with Eddie Van Halen playing his instead.

Cheers

Chris
