Well, I see there are many in the group in Maryland; Mt. Airy, Dundalk, Baltimore........I am 66 yrs old and started "repairing" when I was 13 yrs old, when I got a WELLER soldering gun for Christmas and I fixed a neighbor's clock radio. From 1982 through 1996 I was in the consumer electronics repair field, troubleshooting to component level......I worked on many tube-type TV sets, receivers, car radios, you name it. I remember when CDs first came out, OMG. From 1998 through 2010, I was in the commercial kitchen equipment field, repairing commercial fryers, dish machines, ovens, steamers, because the money was good. Well, I am recently retired and am back to what I love, restoring vintage audio equipment (especially jukeboxes!). I am happy to be a member of this group and look forward to helping others, and getting some help on my latest projects!

Welcome to AK, sounds like you could be a great contributer here. Jukeboxes has to be a niche market with few experts.

From another hound, welcome to the Audiokarma community. My first soldering gun was a Wen about the same time for me as when you received your Weller. After using the Wen for a few years, I finally bought a 8200 Weller, which was lighter and had two temperature choices. Nice gun.
