Hey guys- long time lurker, first time poster, etc. Just moved to DFW and have a perfect vintage room so I am trying to get back into audio for the first time since home theater. Looking forward to asking a bunch of questions and getting some advice.

Starting my system with a pretty mint Sansui 5500 receiver and a pair of JBL Studio Monitors. Looking for the right stuff to play on it (although it sounds great even with an ipod right now- I know heresy).
 
Well, get yourself a decent turntable/arm/cartridge and a decent record cleaning machine. Spin a few vinyl disks and you'll start feeling right at home :-)
 
I'm on that with the turntable. Trying to decide if I stay vintage or go new with Pro-ject, Music Hall or a combo like a new Thorens (that still looks vintage). Luckily I still have my record collection.
 
Welcome! Fortuitous that you kept your LPs...adding a TT can be a tough choice. Hang out in the TT forum & continue to add candidates to your list!
