Greetings to all, what a great and enjoyable site! I recently acquired a pair of McIntosh 501 monos to power my Martin Logan Spires. My decision to go with the 501's were based on the wealth of knowledge and information gathered from the members here.

Welcome to the forum! Your impressions of the 501s & MLS's would be appreciated. Just curious what the combo is like, wrt sound.

quick synopsis of my Logan and McIntosh combo, I would describe the sound as effortless with a very nice high/mid/low balance, and I'm most amazed at how much more articulate vocals are, you know......... I did not realize that was actually what the artist was saying in a particular song.

I definitely know it's the MC 501 monos that's giving my system that "wow" factor as all my other components have remain the same. I have tried power amps from Musical Fidelity (A-308) to Jeff Rowland (Continuum 500) and Sunfire. They all had positives but I really like the Macs

I hope to get around to posting my system soon.
