Good news, haven't seen a good jazz biopic since Forest Whitaker played Bird.

Nice choice with Don Cheadle - an excellent actor, and kind of like the Golden Boy around Denver since he grew up here.

Hard to think of many other good jazz movies...'Round Midnight with Dexter Gordon comes to mind.

"Lady Sings The Blues" with Diana Ross & "The Cotton Club" with Richard Gere. These are excellent movies too. Richard Gere did actually played the trumpet in that movie.

Kind of wonder why the early years weren't included in the script. He had an interesting youth coming from East St. Louis and going to Julliard.
Now that is what I would call a role model for youngsters.
