New or Rebuilt? Help please!

Hello,
I am hoping to purchase a turntable for my husband for Father's Day/his birthday. I have narrowed it down to a couple of options but am struggling with making the final decision. Any advice?

New:
Denon DP-300F

Rebuilt:
Akai AP-B20 Belt Drive with Ortofon OM 5e cartridge ($250 plus a separate preamp; comes with a 90 day warranty)

I will need a preamp to use the turntable with our existing receiver and speakers. I like the idea of at least semi-automatic.

Any advice you can give would be helpful!

Denon for sure +1
Thing with turntables is consumer grade are mostly junk the Denon is not it is a few steps up. Just make sure he has a phono preamp to plug it into. If not they are not expensive for one that will get him going.
