New Polks vs Old

I have read a lot about old Polk speakers and how people like them. Are the older Polks better than the new? I ask that because a few months ago I bought some RTi A7s. I replace my Vegas with the Polks. To me they sound better but I don't hear about anyone telling about them like the older models. So , I'm wondering if I made a good purchase or not. BTW it is my first pair of Polks. I listened to Polks years ago but didn't like them. I think my taste in music and sound has changed other the years and what I hear from the Polks now is good. One thing I liked about Germany is they had audio clubs so you where able to listen to different systems and speakers to compare them side by side.

The older Polks were a good value at the time... The Model 10, RTA12s and the SDAs were quite popular, offering a good value for their performance, but I would not consider them to be as good as their current offerings... Mind you, you have to compare their top line models then and now.

I had a number of Polks, Monitor 10, RTA12C, SDA-1C... I still own a few RT-55is and a pair of LSi9s and LSi15s. The LSis are great speakers just as the Polk Monitor 10s back then. It's just that technology has advanced a lot since then and I think speakers are a lot better now.
