"New post" timer seems erratic lately

When you first log in and go to a forum, there's a period of time when the top thread titles in a forum are highlighted and have the little box at the front to go to the first unread post in that thread. As you go down the list the older threads don't have this. Looking at the time of the last post in a thread, the highlighted ones are usually after the time you last visited that forum or logged in.

Recently I've noticed that the highlighted threads are fewer than I'm expecting to be there. Looking again at the time of the last post I see that some of the last posts times are not highlighted, even though they are after the last time I entered that forum. It doesn't seem to be consistent from session to session.

I've also noticed that I sometimes miss new subscribed threads in User CP.

Has anyone else noticed this or is there something I'm doing on my end causing this? :scratch2:

I've noticed this, or something similar, but I've chalked it up to the fact that I may have 2 or 3 devices logged into AK at any given time. I'm not sure how it timestamps things in that case. But yes, sometimes I feel like when I go into a thread that it tells me there haven't been any updates I see that there have been replies I wasn't aware of.
