Have new setup in tube room Fisher 400-C pre, Heathkit W-3AM monoblocks Sony PS-X500 Mac MR-78 tuner JBL HL-S820 speakersDSCN2878.JPG I am playing "Percussion Spectacular" Arthur Lyman on HIFIRECORDS. 1st time I have used phono stage in Fisher Pre, it is working OK need to clean connections and check what tubes are installed, I have never even looked under the shields

I looked at the phono stage today and I found I had installed a matched pair of Amperex Bugle Boys 12AX7-A. Phono connection are a little twitched so I cleaned them and reconnected, wow great sound the Fisher 400-C does like the Heathkit W-3AM mono blocks. I played for about an hour this recordDSCN2880.JPG and CSNY Deja vu.
 
I am going to redo the "Tube Room" system, I am moving out a bunch of stuff so I can place system in one end of room, pictures later
 
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments, so for this setup does sound good. I will move speakers around to find best spot but later, I think I will just leave them where they are for now.
 
Made another change. Did not need the marble stands I had Mono-blocks on. Moved Akai turntable to rack and placed one mono-block on bottom and other under the glass top table on marble stand. Please see picture

I have added some bookcases behind the speakers in the corners and moved speakers out a few inches and in a few inches

I played the setup for a few hrs. Sunday AM. Mac MR-78 was pulling in Duke U. FM station in stereo!! weak station with my cheap dipole ant. can only get this station in mono, however yesterday it was great!!, and in clean stereo, they play anything, student run station and they have a great signal do not seem to use much compression and they were playing vinyl!! heard PDQ Bach album nice sound stage and separation. Then I played vinyl for about hour or so I am likening this setup very much
 
Happy Thanksgiving before I hit the road I turned on the tube room system with tuner still on WXDU 89.7 Duke U station, still working in good stereo what a great station
