New speaker stands, Monoprice Monolith

I have been looking for some nice looking and sturdy 24” speaker stands for my B&W N805 speakers.
I read a few reviews on the Monoprice Monolith series and decided to pull the trigger.
They arrived today, and after about 45 minutes they were done. I filled all eight columns with kitty litter and now they are super heavy/sturdy. All the hardware fit perfectly and it went together with ease. A bit of blue tack in each corner of the top plate and the speakers are really rock solid.
They look very nice and do exactly what they are supposed to do. Anyway, thought I would share my experience.

Those guys are putting out some seriously well-built gear these days. I got a real heavy metal shelf from them to mount all my network switching and gateway hardware. And those ATI-sourced amps are no slouch either. When the 5- and 7-channels come off backorder and go on sale, I'm jumping on one or the other.

Look nice. What are the top plate dimensions?And do they have a way for the columns to “key” in? I got the similar ones from Pangea/Audio Advisor and it was a pain in the ass to get the four posts square to each other.

Yes, these are easy to key in. There are two screws per post on the bottom plate that align everything at right angles. The top plate is 8.5” x 6”.

Thanks for the answers. Seems to me that these are the PERFECT compliment to people who have or are purchasing Elac UB5’s. I’m running 24” tall stands with mine and they are just right. And the UB5’s are just under 8”x11” so the top plate is almost perfect.

I might snag a pair just for grins. Thanks!

Is the bottom plate steel? With the rounded over top edge it looks more like MDF or something other than steel. The Monoprice web page doesn't say anything about the base plate.

I have mine on 28" stands. I tried using 24" and they didn't sound as good. The 28" stands also are filled with sand, about 20 lbs each. YMMV

Mine might be slightly taller with their 1” or so spikes on there... haven’t actually measured them in situ. Also I listen about 10-12’ feed from each speaker and my sofa is kinda lower MCM style. Tweeter/Mid is at ear height.

Funny you mention it. I got these stands specifically for the Elac UB5’s and they do work perfectly. The coax driver is right at ear level, though my listening chair is a little on the low side.
