I know this isn't a steal or thrift store find that some of you may have had, but...

I gave my friend $1350 for all of it.:thumbsdn::thmbsp:?

I may get rid of some of the gear , but not yet. This is for a third system,(no I'm not rich), so I'll keep it pretty simple.

I'm pretty sure the TX-608 is a TX-6800 with a black dial. I own two.
I also have an RG-2; I run a tuner through it, to expand out compressed radio signals. Plus, it matches my flouroscan amps.

Stand corrected, you are right about the TX-6800 and the TX-608, same thing except black face.

I have my tuner out connected to the input of my RG-2, and the output from the RG-2 connected to the tuner input on my integrated amp. I use it this way because I only use the RG-2 dynamic expander with my tuner (several local stations use a compressed signal).

The RG-2 and SG-2 could also be hooked up to one of the tape input/output pairs on the amp, so you could engage them when you wanted to use them, or cut them out of the audio path when you didn't.

[edit]: You should go over to the Pioneer Manual Scan Database and get the owner's manuals and such for all your new Pioneer equipment. They'll do a better job of explaining what everthing does, what all the options in connecting things up, and what all the controls are for, than I can.
