As others have pointed you have a good amount to to start a respectable vintage setup with.
If don't really know where to start I would start by just doing some reading on these forums and find like minded people in your area.
When I started I had no idea what Marantz, McIntosh, or much anything aside from Sony, bose, yamaha, and thats just the newer stuff nothing 70's 80's
So safe to say I was vary new didnt even know how to connect a stereo up lol .... right!?! ..
At any rate this hobby is difficult in the sense that now more then ever it much harder to audition gear and equipment.
I mean for me personally I found it hard even though there are sellers that will offer an audition which is definitely beneficial.
But what I did was research brands and what they where all about and who was doing significant things that where leading edge at that time.
And I pick brands that way mind you I read the **** out of everything I could get my hands on that was relevant to what I was looking for.
Ex my first big purchase was a marantz 2245 followed by a bang and olufsen 1602 then a pair of dynaco a25
Thats what started it all for me.
And as others have stated it good to buy peices that will have a good resale value
And at the same time thats an indication that there is a demand for that said peice
Be it rarity, build quality, nostalgic value.
And as you aquire peices of your setup you can keep or let go what you want based on the flavors you like moving forward.
If I had to start all over again I would have started with speakers before amps solid state or tube or separates.
As I find once you know what the efficiency is going to be you can better match of find gear that will drive them.
Mind you there are many aspects as the fellas have pointed out in why its difficult to answer this type of question as personal preferences play a major role.
I stated a little over a year ago and now
I have made moves into single ended triode tube amplifiers. 5 months ago there would be no way I thought I would be messing with tubes.
But I educated myself and made sure I understood what came with going this route and became comfortable enough to invest in it.
It takes time and thats the fun part of building a setup imo,
Swapping in and out different equipment and learning what brands you want to represent and that speaks to your esthetic and your ears.
