I know most of you hate Bose, but I was wondering if anyone's had any experience putting new surrounds on 501s. I think my pair are Series-II (been a while; snagged them at a flea market for $10 total, when i found out the surrounds were shot they went to the garage). They have brown/orange cloth. It was a bitch to pull the grill cloth off of one to view the woofer, and I think I ruined the frame the cloth is mounted to.
The woofers have no surround left, it's all decayed away.
What's the "ideal" way to remove that cloth and its frame? Is this something an amateur can do?
