I think I'm going to try things out with one 1500W transformer for the amp and preamp. The SU-9070 only has an 8W draw, so hoping I should be ok. I'm not at the point of testing stuff myself yet! But will keep that in mind in regards to a variac.

Preamp showed up the other day and amp and speakers will be here soon! Will post pics once I've got things all set up. I sadly realized I didn't read the ebay listing close enough of the SU-9070 I got, and it's the 70A version, not the MKII with MC phono stage

Technics SB-7000A's are coming in a couple weeks! Getting excited, even though my bank account is less so...
