New Tazewell TN Acousti-Craft Speakers

Anything that has Acousti-Craft on it is worth checking into. All I've seen had high quality drivers in them.

oh well...i was going to make a run at these but the logistics are a bit insane. i too was hoping nobody was paying attention. best o luck and props to
KiM3Ce.

My schedule mysteriously cleared itself today so i took that as a sign that i should do a little drive after work. The speakers are nothing much to look at but i bought them anyways just because of their reputation and also maybe because i had driven an hour+ to see them. i got them home and hooked them up for a low volume radio test on a luxman receiver. they seem to do jazz and bluegrass quite nicely. the grills are sealed so i will open up the backs on the morrow so we can see what lurks within. pics to follow.

The Acousti-Crafts turned out to be just one driver in a empty box. the 2nd port was vacant. The speaker driver is a Stephens Trusonic 80fr 16 ohm which does seem to have a bit of a following so i am pleased with that.

Ebay has a number of completed listings of those drivers in nice cabinets that ended around $300/pair, so you probably did fairly well on those.
