Hello im new to this website just found out a couple of days ago.

I hope to learn lots about audio equipment. thats why im here. I was wonmdering if anyone could give me some details on how to tell if a speaker is good or a receiver is good or what to pay for some things.

Welcome! As far as advice regarding speakers, receivers, amps, etc...just post in the appropriate forum and you're guaranteed to get a lot of feedback. Just indicate what your budget will allow. As far as value questions go...Dollars and Sense is the place to post. Have fun!!
 
Welecom to here. In the end it comes down to personal preference, but lurk around and read, read, read as many threads here as possible. You'll start becoming familiar with the lingo, brand names, people and before you know it you'll be buying all kinds of gear.
