SL-1200/1210 turntable is new to me. Before I always like silver-faced Technics (I had SL-1300, SL-1600) because they match my ther silver-faced gear.
However, when I first see this piano-black shiny finish I love it; turntable looks really nice.
I have some questions.
1. Wikipedia says SL-1210 M5G was a special 30th-anniversary edition (1972-2002) released in 2002. What years it was in production?
2. It has only felt mat and plastic film underneath, no rubber mat. Manual said it comes with RGS008 rubber mat. Where to get it? Is it thin or thick? Would it be better using thicker mat?
3. It seems SL-1210 M5G dust cover come without hinges to mount on TT (pictures). It is supposed to be this way? If not, what hinges should be used?
