New to me toys back from shop!

I'm stoked! listening to the Coltrane Live at the Village Vanguard CD on the old Yamaha CD carousel through the refreshed Mac 1700 I picked up yesterday, temporarily with the Yamaha NS-1000 monitors. I'll have to create another post to add a photo of the 1700.
I picked up another toy, and want to add this slightly chewy looking MC 2200 to the main system, to run the Vandersteen 3a Signatures, or the Proac Response 2 monitors, and am trying to figure out if I can safely plug the 2200 into the preamp out of the Arcam Alpha 10, the manual doesn't address this function precisely, only biamping and daisy chaining several 10p or 9p, their power amps. Can anybody help?

Sure you can use the 10 to drive the 2200. Preamp output on the 10 to the 2200 input.

But really, if you got pre out, that is what you got. It will feed anything. Only problem could be overdriving the internal power amp, if it has transformers that can mean bad news. Fry it out.

You might want to look into crossovers if you want to biamp. If you can get a three way that is designed right you can use it for a two way as well. Like backward compatibilitity. Just a matter of setting it right.

JURB, that's more to my point of the question. I want to avoid bi-amping, but the manual doesn't say the internal amp will be bypassed if you tap the pre out, on the contrary, it seems to say tapping the pre is bi-amping.
