New to Tube amp conversions

Hi I’m new here, and new to working on tube amps. I recently acquired some amps from the 50s and 60s that have been successfully converted to great guitar amps by other folks. I am going to need all the help I can get, so if anyone knows people on here that are good resources for these kind of conversations let me know, or feel free to reach out. I’ll be making some posts on the steps I take and the successes and failures I experience along the way. The project I’m working on now March ‘26 is a 1950 Webster Chicago 166-1 tube combo amp. The next project will be a Bogen Challenger 35 watt amp, and after that is a Midland (Japan) Public Address amplifier that’s quad push-pull EL84s

Sorry I'm not much of a technical resource for this sort of thing, but welcome aboard! My first tube guitar amp was built from old parts and I will follow your project with interest.

My late father was a part time tube TV repair guy and had an old box from a Bosch American radio, along with a 1939 Stromberg Carlson chassis stashed in his shop. I turned the SC chassis into a single ended guitar amp based on the P1 Extreme schematic from the AX84 cooperative, then stuffed it into the Bosch American box to make for an interesting one-off guitar amp that my boys have used over the years.
