New U- Turn Orbit Special

[2DualsNotEnough]

I dont know if anyone has already posted this, but it looks like a killer deal to me.The Orbit Plus with the new arm,a cue lever,an Acrylic platter and a real hardwood(not veneer) plinth, and the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge.$459.That seems like a great deal to me.

Come a long way from the beginning. Nice work

oooooohhhhh....pretty....

Don't need another turntable but I feel like I need to buy it to support them

They could've used an MDF plinth veneered either maple or walnut. Instead they went with a solid wood plinth, a very wise move for U-turn. I wonder how long it will be when we see a semi automatic, which would be less expensive than an automatic.

The tonearm still looks pretty basic to me. The Rega Planar 1, not to mention the Pro-ject budget turntables, cost considerably less in Europe, so I doubt the the Orbit would be competitive, price wise, outside the US.

You can forgo the 2M Red and save some money. The new wood plinths are available through the Orbit custom builder.
