New Wire For Me!

My AQ order finally arrived 1 month after I placed my order. I received one 7ft pair of Rocket 88 speaker wire (bi-wired with spades) and one 1m pair of Columbia analog ICs. I did get shorted on a pair of the Columbia ICs but after a quick phone call to Dustin at AQ he said he would immediately place a new order for the missing pair.
For reference I was running Monster MCX-2s wire for my speakers and a no name $10 pair of analog ICs from my NR1602 to the MC7150.
I rigged my left speaker with the AQ 88 wire and left the Monster wire on the right side. The difference was startling and immediate. The Monster wire sounded muted and muffled to me and the AQ wire was precise, lively and dynamic without any harshness in the mids or highs.
I was very hesitant about this purchase as I assumed that I am starting to head down the path of much diminished returns with my system, however I was very wrong!
I can say with conviction that this is a great upgrade for my system and can't wait to get my other pair of Columbia's to run from my DAC to the Marantz.

I have Rocket 44 internally bi-wired speaker cables and Diamond back IC's and XLR's. Very nice cables and I can only imagine how good your cables improve the sound of your system. I have always preferred solid core cables to stranded and I agree with the improvements you heard. Enjoy.
