Hi everyone who sees this. I am new here, well have yet to post much and I need some help if possible. I have a marantz 2385. I know it powers on and makes noises lol but that’s about it. I’m assuming it needs some work and I have no idea where to even begin to find a trusted source in my area. I would love to get it restored and or just working. Maybe it works already but I can’t test it as my situation doesn’t allow. I live in Michigan in Rochester Hills about 40 miles north of Detroit. Any recommendations for restoration or testing services in my area would be greatly appreciated. My hopeful and perhaps wishful goal is to get it working and use to hear the hundreds of vinyl records I inherited.
I’d love to have some basic knowledge such as: Value of the 2385 in perfect working condition or as is condition? The approximate cost to restore it? The cost of the cheapest turntable and speakers that will do the receiver justice?
