hi just a wee hello to introduce myself. just starting out in the great world of vintage audio. from n.z and just got my first vintage amp of which i know nothing about really lol. thanks for having heaps of useful info on here i really enjoy reading it. im sure ill be asking a few questions very soon .( my new amp is a pye pro lab 70 with unknown rms or anything really. thanks for awesome site.

Ah ha, another brother on AK!! Welcome, theres a couple of us Kiwi's who hang around a lot in the Sansui forum, Ive got a thread in there at the moment about my G-7700.
If you want to learn about Vintage audio this is the place to be, we will have you pulling your amp apart and fixing it in ways you never dreamed of!!
I remember those Pro-Labs, Pye made one and there was an Akai one as well made under license by Allied Industries, my sister had one. It cost her $1500NZ in 1981, Amp Tuner Turntable receiver speakers, a lot of money back then.
I think you will find the Pye prolab 70 is 35watts per channel, from memory. Not sure there would be much about them on the net because they were a local thing lost in history, but no harm trying...............

pye pro lab 70 was 35 watts because i owned one and akai pro lab 100 was 50 watts i believe My mate had the akai pro lab 100
