Newbie from Rochester

I am just getting back into stereo and have started teaching myself repair on turntables, amps, speakers etc. I would love meeting people nearby that can assist. I now have a dual 606 turntable, a Harmon AVR receiver/Amp, and some Technic speakers as well as Sony 5 disc cd player.

Welcome. My roots reach back to Rochester -- my grandfather and two buddies bought a new Model T for $700 in 1923 and drove it out to southern California. He met a cute girl working in a diner at a motor court, got married and the rest is my family history. We visited a couple of years ago and enjoyed the city.

As a former Record Archive employee, I say howdy! In the intervening years, the Archive has moved a few times.They've ensconced themselves @ 33/13 Rockwood St. in Rochester off East Avenue. The "vinyl" scene in Rochester is pretty healthy... in addition to the Record Archive, there's the House of Guitars, the Bop Shop, Hi-Fi Lounge, and Needledrop.
