Newbie with a KR-9400

Hello yall. I’m 24 and have been interested in vintage Audio for awhile now. Just received a minty KR-9400 which I plan to use for a turntable set up and all things music. Came worh a pair of near un used infinity rs525s. I’m looking for all the tips tricks and advice on my kenwood. There’s a lot of functions I am not familiar with and I’d like to use it to its full potential. Tuning knob doesn’t seem to engage unless I apply Pressure. I assume theres a band in there which has creeped with time. Also I cant seem to get an FM signal. AM works ok but very staticky. Thanks!

Thanks guys. I am running a pair of Infinity RS525s. They are a 6 ohm impedence. From my understanding receivers run speakers in a parallel circuit. Would this now become a 3 ohm load and am I stressing out my KR-9400?
 
As long as they are on opposite channels will be 6 ohm load, one attached to the left speaker terminals and other to the right so you get stereo.

If you don't have any kind of FM antenna attached, most receivers won't pick up stations unless you have a really strong signal from a local transmitter. Simple quick antenna is to take speaker wire or lamp cord and split apart one end to form a T with each side I believe around 29-30 inches should do decently in a pinch. Used them before with decent performance for such a simple design. Would often cinch at the T with a tie wrap to keep the cord from trying to split more.
