Nice Antique Show Haul

Thought I'd come show off my finds here... :P

Back on Thursday there was a Craigslist seller posting that he had something like 900 records he was selling. His wife was tired of them taking up room, so he had to sell them asap... A BUCK A PIECE.
He set up his collection at a local antique show today, so I decided to go.

He took VERY good care of his records...
All of these are in EX to NM shape. So cool!
I was lucky enough to grab the following...
Can't wait to listen to these.

Louis Armstrong-Hello, Dolly! (Kapp Records)
Asia-Asia
Dave Brubeck-Gone With The Wind
Emerson Lake & Palmer-Trilogy
Phil Collins-Hello, I Must Be Going!
John Coltrane-The Mastery Of John Coltrane Vol. IV "Trane's Modes"
Count Basie (Self-titled release on Metro Records)
Hall & Oates-Private Eyes
Hall & Oates-Rock'n Soul Part 1 (still has a 1984 tri-fold Hall & Oates calendar!)
Billy Joel-The Stranger
Billy Joel-Songs In The Attic
Billy Joel-An Innocent Man
Journey-Escape
Kansas-Point Of Know Return
Men At Work-Two Hearts
Alan Parsons Project-I Robot
Spyro Gyra-Alternating Currents
Steely Dan-Pretzel Logic
Styx-The Grand Illusion (Excellent shape, still has the band poster!)
Supertramp-Crime Of The Century
Sly & The Family Stone-The Best Of
Three Dog Night-It Ain't Easy
Rick Wakeman-The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table (comes with full-color artwork booklet!)
Joe Walsh-But Seriously, Folks...

Maybe not the most incredible records but there are some GREAT ones here with some poster goodies, and for a buck a piece in ex/nm shape I did well.

Sounds like you did VERY well, at that price. :thmbsp:

I don't know what the rest of his LPs were like, but if there were a lot of decent ones to choose from, I would have been tempted to have said something like, "I'll take ALL of them, in one go, if you'll take a quarter apiece for them." I would have said it loudly enough, within earshot of his wife, and then shut up and waited... :D

After that, you just bring them home, sort through them, and then sell the unwanted ones off for fifty cents or a buck apiece. OR, if you have the income to justify it, donate them to a charity and take a tax write-off, valuing them at two or three bucks apiece. :D

Lol, there definitely were a lot of decent ones to choose from. I'm kind of kicking myself for passing up on those couple of Jean-Luc Ponty albums (He had Aurora... :twak: )

If I had that cash I would have done that.
He had a sealed copy of a 70's R&B/soul band called "Tomorrow Never Knows" or something, said it was pretty rare... He also had a pristine copy of an album by The Buckaroos that book listed at $40... Lol... My dad says I should have bought them (I think I should have, too) but it's good to know someone else will have the excitement of getting those treasures for a buck. :)

I think he had a bunch of Beatles albums in great shape, but they were long gone by the time I got there. :tears:

And I'm excited for the Count Basie record, too! :D
