Nice CL pickup

Responded to an ad on CL for a Marantz 2252 receiver and Fisher XP-9C speakers. Ad was posted for over an hour and 1/2 before I called, and he still had the set. Drove over and the Marantz was actually a 2252b, in perfect condition, and the Fisher speakers were in like new condition. Not a mark on either piece. Tested both, worked perfect. Included the speaker wire as well, over 50' of 12 gauge cables. Original owner. Paid 75.00 for all of it. Not the score of the year or month....but considering that the last 2252b on ebay sold for 325.00 today, pretty good deal.

Picture is from the web. My camera's cord is bad, so if pictures are wanted, will upload actual pics later. This picture represents the condition.

In my book, that is the score of the month...I had to pay $125 for a 2265B with owner's manual and the WC-122 wood case (the 3 part thin wrap), but it sounds great w/ the ADS L1290's.

Excellent find. I would do the same deal in a heartbeat.

Yes, it is always nice to find deals like this every so often. It is a nice looking and sounding receiver. Even better to buy from original owners who take care of their stuff. Even the speakers, other than the bottoms are like new.
