I stopped in the local SA after my bi-anual teeth cleaning and walked up to the electronics section and there it was. A Sansui 3000A in near mint condition with wood case. $14.99. So I bought it. They had more items but couldn't carry anymore and am trying to cut back on the random spending. They had a pair of HH Scott s-15 speakers for $9.99, a Samsung dvd player for $7.99 and a Panasonic dvd player for $6.99.
I have looked up a few things on the 3000A here and on ebay and the web. Turns out the foot for the case is not there but that is ok. If anyone can measure theirs and give me some details on it my father-in-law can make me one. The feet for the receiver are missing also. If anyone has a set let me know.
Is sounds pretty good so far. I haven't tried everything yet. It wasn't outputting when I had it on the 4 ohm selection but does work on the 8 ohm. The protection light is faintly on but don't know if it is really on. The power light is not coming on either.
I will be putting some pics on later. Still dealing with Christmas buyin too.
