Hello there! I am a younge european that has always been interested into old electronics, mediums and their inner workings.
Now that I go to a few nice thriftstores from time to time, I will try to document it with my camera.
The videos may contain everything from old receivers, old cameras or mid 90's tape decks and 80's computes (Havent found any complete systems, but one can hope!)
I have gotten some pretty nice finds in the past, like a Pentium II computer, bunch of EDO and pentium I chips, a mac performa and a Marantz SD555 cassette deck *hearts*
WARNING: My dutch-english sucks in the videos, try not to cry. I will work on my handling of the camera, this was my first try!

Alright, points of intrest for fans of audio-equipment. (; (Aside from the 'normal' cassette decks and CD players that can be found throughout the video.)
Early in the video, a microtape anwsering machine.
The thriftstore has a microtape handheld recorder somewhere, including a bigger player for the tapes.
5:15 A massive early VHS VCR, Grundig VS 2000 RC. Would you call it anything special or interesting enough to get?
5:35 A nice looking Technics tuner, too bad that most radio in the Netherlands isnt my style.
5:59 AKAI 4000DS reel to reel player. Seems to be in nice condition, but tape guiders are a bit dirty and coloured with tape rust. Will the heads be worn out then ? is there an easy way to check it by just looking at them? Seems to be a low end player, maybe towards mid?
6:17 SONY TC-S7 casette player, bought it (;
6:24 Fisher EQ-3000 EQ, is it any good for an EQ?
6:43 A nasty Dual receiver, nobs were sticky outside and inside with a brownish pulp, smoker's equipment?
9:24 Philips Hi-Fi speakers I think, a nice experiment?
What I ended up getting:
Now that I have a third cassette deck... one needs to go, I have to decide between a Marantz SD555 or an AKAI HX-2

See you in a few weeks!
