Hello there,
Starting a new thread to detail the new setup of the main system. I've been fiddling with it for the past 9 months since we moved and finally making progress. Lots of storage space, but still rearranging things.

The room is a 2 car garage with about 6 feet of extra space on either side. Air-conditioned by a portable Black&Decker unit (TOTL). The previous owner had a window unit with ducts installed, but that unit is basically dead at this point (to be replaced later). The 3 walls and ceiling are fully insulated already, and the garage door should be insulated in the next few weeks.

The goal is to create a multi-use MCM lounge style area. I don't want to do a full garage conversion right now, as it's nice to have garage functionality.

I have an Armor-All garage floor mat (22'x8'10") setup for the current "stereo half" of the space. Curtains are over the 3 windows to help control temperature (it's quite hot in the summer here in SC).

Decorations (i.e. band merch and music/stereo related stuff) is a work in progress as well. Slowly framing the good stuff.

Current stereo setup is: Yamaha A-S801 integrated amp, Magnat Signature 505 speakers, 12" Canton Vento subwoofer, Luxman PX-101 turntable, 1Mii Bluetooth module. (And a bunch of spare gear here and there.)

I've sold most of my big ticket speakers (Infinity RSIIIB, Technics SB-7000A, Altec Lansing) to help fund what I want to do. The Magnats sound excellent and I snagged them at a great price new.

Hey, best garage set-up I've seen in a long time! :thumbsup:

A mix of Cave & garage...good deal. Happy wife and all that, eh?

Good to see that that Yammy ain't enclosed at the back, even though there's a dual heat-sink inside. Some of that particular "breed" can run really hot, but your model has been upgraded, but it's still pushing 100 watts RMS/per chan.

Looks like a great meld of two places...and the SO knows where to find ya. :-)

Yes it is! I've had that sitting around for a few years now. Don't have any discs to try it with.

I do have 3 setups inside the house as well, so this is more about space and experimentation than anything at this point ;)
 
Nice place for guys to hang out and pretty much an over-the-top garage system. :thumbsup: Have you considered putting some type of curtain over the garage door?
