NIKKO NR-615 no am/fm input

Picked up a real nice looking NIKKO NR-615, plays fine from phono/tape/aux inputs thru both headphones and speakers but won't receive anything from the am/fm section. The PO stated that it just suddenly quit, one day worked fine, the next, silence. The tuning meter doesn't even swing. Gave it a thorough Deoxit treatment, but no change. Any ideas?

Possibly the tuner power supply. Have you checked all the fuses in the unit?

NR-615 issue

Only 1 fuse on the power supply board, checks okay. Input AC from transformer is present on the pairs, altho I don't know what the exact voltages should be yet. The tuner board doesn't seem to be getting any voltage, AC or DC. There are only 2 different solo transistors on the power supply board and a handful of caps . . . Service manual should be here by Friday.

Well, until you get the service manual, we can only guess. Maybe poke around the tuner board with a test meter. Could be a number of things such as a diode or a resistor, and maybe even a voltage regulator or chip.
