Hello, I've currently got two receivers on my bench, one a late 60s Harman Kardon SR-300b, the other a Nikko QSR-4040 quadraphonic receiver. I an coming up dry on schematics for both. The H/K is faulty with bad hum and no tuner output. I've tried some troubleshooting but it's essentially point-to-point and very hard to follow. I have no idea what the circuit architecture is to look into. secondly the Nikko just arrived but supposedly is distorted so needs caps most likely. probably won't need schematic but it's nice to have for refurbishing. If anyone has any leads on documentation I would be grateful. Thanks

Thank you, I have seen your threads talking about these receivers, and I have seen the owners manual as well kicking around. provides some useful info but sadly the schematic wasn't part of the owners manual. I got tantalizingly close to a supposed schematic on eBay, but then the seller "lost" it.
 
FWIW Nikko used to include a schematic at the end of the owners manual. IIRC amp and tuners are similar to the STA-4020 or 4030 models.
