Nixie Tube cross reference

[Dr. Strangelove]

Not entirely audio related, but can anyone cross reference a Pioneer GEL-002 Nixie tube to some manufacture? Please PM me if you can help.

Thanks,

Burroughs?

Well, there's:

http://www.sphere.bc.ca/test/nixie.html

and:

http://www.decodesystems.com/nixie.html

and:

http://www.electricstuff.co.uk/count.html

and of course:

http://www.the-planet.org/nixie.html

See if any of these help you out...

Hey, has anyone built a Nixie tube numeric level display? How cool would that be on a tube amp!

Something like a dekatron would probably be more "useful" (not that practicality's the core consideration).

Burroughs?

I have found some Burroughs tubes that look close, but I do not have a GEL-002 to compare with. Also, some of the Russian tubes look very good, but I cannot imagine that Pioneer would have sourced the nixies from Russia.

This would have been around 1973 -1974.

Thanks to all for the follow-up.

Yea, someone makes clocks with them.

Yea, someone makes clocks with them.

I have one
(almost identical to this one, from Gary Kaufman's site)

Even cooler, though, IMO, is the oscilloscope clock.
