No FM stereo on luxman r800 receiver.

So you are getting stereo with sufficient separation, and the 'stereo' light works. But there still is no 38 KHz at CP5? That's crazy, I don't see how it can work without 38KHz to the stereo demodulator.

Hold on.......On pin 1 of the chip it is 19KHz but on CP5 it is 38 KHz.DSCN5652.JPG
 
The "Stereo"separation could be better, but it is Stereo. and yes the Stereo light is "on"
Adjusting T205 and T207 gives me already better separation...wow.
Also adjusting T206 for the maximum amplitude is improving separation as well.

I think there is reason for a celebration right now, I am so exited.
The"Stereo" separation is pretty good at the moment and when you adjust T206 for max amplitude on the scope and T205 and T207 also for that result, the separation is improving.

Thank you so much Ylli, you fixed my Stereo problem.
I think the tuning section needs an alignment, but it is not too bad right now.
The center tuning meter is centered and the signal strength meter is not at a maximum at that point, but I get more stations, if I then adjust the center tuning meter to the maximum signal strength with T203 can top adjustment, I get distortion at some point and fewer stations that will be picked up with this antenna.
Do you have any suggestions on that?
 
Normal procedure on a manually tuned (non-synthesized) receiver is to adjust the FM detector for a centered tuning meter on IF noise. Tune to a place on the dial with no signal and remove the antenna. The tuning meter should center.

You can also do it on a moderately strong signal as long as you have a way to determine when you are actually tuned to the center of the signal. And you do! Connect your voltmeter to CP2 (and ground) and tune for the highest meter reading. Unlike the signal strength meter, this test point should be before any significant IF limiting, so will give a good indication of being tuned to maximum signal. When tuned for maximum signal, adjust the FM detector for a centered tuning meter.

Any further alignment really should be down with the appropriate test equipment.

For some reason, your explanations are so excellent to understand for me, like you know exactly how to word and explain what is going on to my person, that is why you are my favorite person to go to with this problem.

For me it is all about this hobby, and now I feel energized to finish this little receiver after the total transistor and cap replacement to make a beautiful new mahogany wooden cover for it and set it proudly on my shelf with the others in my collection for display.
I will post a picture of it when I am done.:)
