No longer getting email notifications for watched forums

Hello, is anyone else having issues getting email notifications from forums they are watching when new posts are created? I’m not getting any email, anymore from AK. I went in on watched forums and chose Enable email notification on my few forums, no change.

I tried setting up notifications on my thread on my new Luxman.

I *never* got a notification when a new post was made. I got the normal alerts that someone 'liked' or 'replied', but nothing for a generic/independent post in the thread.
 
I don't know if it works the same as an alert but if you are watching and you ignore an alert it stops sending the alerts. You are still watching but don't get an alert every time there are additional posts. This is great because having the thread in my watched pile is fine, something for future use and I don't really want to be notified every time. If it is a thread I want to continue alerts on, I click the alert to go to the thread and this refreshes the software to nag me next time. Email may work like that, too. Maybe go to the thread and unwatch and reset it.
 
Seems this issue is happening again. I get alerts but no email notifications. Some email address, nothing changed.
 
Have you checked your email providers settings? if not check to see if the email alerts are being sent to a spam folder.

Hello, yes the settings haven’t changed one bit. I’m getting alerts when I log in but nothing to email. Have t received any for about a week now. Is there a admin or moderator @hjames that can see if my notifications are bouncing back?
Thinking about changing my email address in my account to see if that helps.

Related (?), a couple times in the last 2 or 3 months email notifications have stopped coming for PM's.
Lasted maybe 3 weeks one time, a couple weeks the other time.
Tried clearing cookies, checked settings for notifications, log out, log back in, etc
After a while they just magically start showing up again in my email inbox.
 
Last couple of weeks email notifications for watched forums/threads stopped coming. I had made no changes to either AK or my email settings. About 2 months ago email notifications of private messages/conversations stopped and have not come back. I've tried fiddling with the 'watched forum' settings, etc. to no avail.

I reached out to one of the moderators but no response. Thoughts, anyone? Looks like I'm not alone in this problem.

+1 no email notifications for PM's.

I seem to remember something about Grumpy 'owning' the mailbox (in the IT sense), through which these emails are directed, and something about it is broken. :dunno:
 
Update to my original post: I am trying to find out why the emails aren't getting through. Admin confirmed my AK settings for sending the emails were correct to my Comcast email (IMAP/POP3 type account). I use Mozilla Thunderbird for email.

I checked the Thunderbird settings and all appeared proper with nothing being obviously filtered or blocked. I changed my email to my gmail account and, presto, the emails started coming through.

Best I can tell, something is going on at Comcast blocking these emails and evidently I have to talk with their security folks at customer service, which I dread, so have to decide whether to pursue this or just keep using an infrequently-used gmail account for AK stuff.
