I recently pulled a vintage Marantz 1200 out of storage. Unit takes a while to power on (a few minutes sometimes) but eventually works.
Drives Infinity K8's to moderate volume ( I live in an apartment) , phono section works fine, and headphone is fabulous with HD600s
However, the other day, pilot light starts fading in and out over an hour or so and finally goes out, music keeps pkaying until then, and nothing.
Fuse is fine and both switched and unswitched power outlets work, but transformer is cold, silent.
Measured about 10 v across transformer input which I assume is nowhere near normal.
Any early thoughts on the culprit, cause - seems to be early in the chain of events...
