A new record of excellent quality should be subjectively noise-free, as quiet as a CD
Go ahead and laugh out loud. Just don't deny my direct experience, or insult my hearing.LOL The only way to think vinyl has a low of a noise floor as a CD is if they are deaf as a stone. Especially on quiet passages when the volume is high.

You sure this is a tracking issue and not a loose connection between (or in!) the cartridge and (or in!) the phono input on, or in the phono preamp section of, your receiver?Another thing I’m having trouble with is tracking ... record will be playing just fine, and then my left speaker will go out and if I stomp the floor near a certain spot, the speaker will cut back in and it will be fine. Seems to do this on high frequency notes and really intense passages in the music. I’ve checked the anti skate and counter balance weights and they are right in line with all the manuals, and I’ve also checked the problem with playing music through my phone and the speakers don’t cut in or out.
Did you not read my second post (#20)?I will laugh out loud at anything so black and white silly.
No, motor noise would not cause hiss. A motor could induce a hum into the signal but not broadband hiss.Wonder if it could be motor noise? Seems like there is a minute hum from the TT motor when the platter is spinning and I haven’t dropped the stylus yet.
What is the source of the iPhone version? Streaming music service or iTunes/Apple music (I'm not up to date on "Apple speak" these days) download? What is the quality of the file?

Either that, or you're hungry!?! (enlarged so you can read it)It's all noise, but what had me alarmed was that, @ fist glance, I misread imral3's post as including the phrase "Apple steak". Forget all the hearing tests -- it's high time my vision was tested!
