Noob Here - Altec Valencia 846B Question

factory crossover. has a 20 μF capacitor on the midbass.

My understanding is that was done on the N800-8K(proprietary to the 846B/U) to smooth the LF impedance.

I would probably not add a zobel to that network.

The 30904 and 30923 were designed to work with the N801-8A and N501-8A networks specifically.

I spent about 3 months searching for the perfect crossover for my Valencia 846b.
and the work was not in vain.
I present to you the scheme of the filter I developed.
3rd order.
in comparison with the factory one, I get higher linearity, smoother and cleaner feed.
you can try. you will be satisfied.

The original xovers are trash IMHO. I use an active xover and bi amped them. Once you try this, you will never go back.
