Norman Laboratories Model 11 - bad resettable fuse

Hi all, first post here.

I picked up a pair of Norman Labs model 11’s from a guy in the Dallas area a couple weeks back. Never heard of them, but they had some interesting reviews here, so I figured for $60 I couldn’t go wrong.

I was having some issues with intermittent audio from the tweeters on one side. Opened it up and probed the crossover with an oscilloscope and found it was the “push to reset” breaker for the tweeters. Probably a bad contact or something, but I don’t know how to get inside these to spray some deoxit. Is it safe to just bypass the breaker, or should I attempt a clean? Maybe they need to just be replaced?

Bypass and keep volume under control. By this I mean don't overdrive the amp and use recommended max power or less. Not really limiting volume if you have clean power. Those reset tables aren't high quality parts this late in life.

Buy a better one and replace, if you want that protection.

Sometimes the current value is stamped or printed on the side.

You could always jump it with a fuse maybe 1/2 amp or less, Depends on the tweeter.

A good "Smack" on the side with a screw driver handle might make it connect.
