This is the first pair of these that I have seen show up around here. They look like nice speakers but I have no idea if this is a decent price or not.

From the link in the Craigs List, they sound to be really nice speakers. I would go for them for $350.
 
Considering you probably don't see that many pairs of those up your way, that's a pretty darn good price. They look to be complete with grills, the emblems, and the glass tops, too. Plus, this series has the rubber surrounds that won't need replacing if I remember correctly. I had to refoam all six of the 10" woofers in mine so call this pair a bonus. :D I love my Model 9's and they won't be going anywhere if I can keep from it. From the looks of the other gear in the room, I would imagine they are taken care of. If interested, you should really try and listen to them...and take some music you are familiar with. These are easy to recap too if one is so inclined.
 
That's 25 minutes from me. I wish I had the space...I would definitely buy those. The design and look almost remind me of ADS L810 speakers, but much larger. Let us know how they sound if you pick them up!
 
Thanks guys, the Model 9s went to a new home today, they were mine. Buyer came up from Louisville, about 2 hours to Indy each way. We played a bit of Bela Fleck Cosmic Hippo and some Steely Dan Gaucho and he was hooked. They did sound great and I will miss them, awesome speakers that I'm glad I experienced. Thanks Kip, you 'da man on these!
 
Glad to help you out, Mike. They are great speakers and I doubt seriously that I'd be able to let mine go now. They do so many things so well and are easy to listen to no matter what's playing and aren't too terribly picky about all the upstream gear like many speakers are. They are forgiving...which I like.
 
I love my Norman Lab Model 9s. They play large with little effort; mellow, clear and full. They are also great for front speakers in a movie system, no need for a sub!
 
There's another pair of Model 9's close to me that are in, what appears to be, perfect condition. Glass tops intact, grills intact, etc, etc. But I just don't have the funds for another pair at the price point they're asking. Sigh... But I'm listening to mine now and that makes me happy.
 
Are these the ones in Cabot? I emailed the seller for pictures. If so, I agree with you about the price point. If they were a little cheaper, I would probably be planning a road trip. I am originally from Central Arkansas. My next planned trip there is not until May and I am flying in unfortunately.
 
Yep, those would be the speakers. I've seen those 9's go for much higher but the problem is with shipping that makes it so cost prohibitive. He's the original owner and definitely has kept them in outstanding shape. I'd love to have a set of the earlier versions to go alone with my later versions.
 
He sent me the pictures. The look to be in great shape. Unfortunately, the timing is not there for me to swing a 10 hr road trip each way.
