NOS Tesla E83CC in MC275?

I have three NOS Tesla E83CC tubes I bought to install in the preamp section of a VOX AC30 guitar amp that I no longer own. I never got around to installing these tubes before I sold the amp. I am wondering if they are acceptable substitutes for 12AX7's and how they might work in my new MC275? Are these tubes okay for substituting for the 12AX7's? Any experience with these tubes in Mac gear and how they might sound relative to the stock tubes? Thanks!

ECC83, E83CC, and ECC803S are all European tube numbers for 12AX7.

Two of the easiest ways of checking tube equivalents if you're not familiar with a particular number is to type the number into eBay or Google.
