Not enough inputs for phono?????

So instead of using phono inputs for my 2 tts I use phono preamps hooked to tapes 1 and 2.

Getting another (with a phono preamp)but my aux is already in use as I have my reel to reel,cassette,and 8 track players via a 4 in one box which works well.So I'm out of inputs.

Can I hook my 3rd preamp in the 4th input of the box or is that going to cause problems.Its not a fancy input box.

So you want to run a turntable with a built-in preamp through a line level input of a switching box? I don't see how that would be different than running it directly into a preamp or line level input of a receiver.

Is the built-in preamp any good? My daughter has a turntable with one and I thought it didn't sound great.

i've got one as well that doesn't sound that great but not horrible but he doesn't say they have built in preamps, they could be external....i have several of those as well(unused)

i'd personally buy a unit with enough inputs so i didn't have to have all that potential interference from a mismash of cables and power supplies but he didn't ask that.

nothing will blow up but i can't say that any of it will sound good.
