Not exactly sure what model of Bose these are

I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong area but navigating around and knowing exactly where to ask things has been difficult for me. A guy brought these Bose into my shop and he didn't know what model he had. I reached out to a fellow audiophile in the area and he believes these to be Bose 801s. Just trying to get some confirmation on what I have here and what they may be worth. Any input would be appreciated.

They look like old 901s that someone has "modified"...edit...a quick look around and they appear to be "802s"???

Cheers!

David

Thanks man. I appreciate the confirmation on that. I can't seem to find anything on what something like that may sell for. Any insight on that??

They shouldn't be expensive. Just a pro version of the 901 without the single driver on the 'front' of the 901 because the 802 is designed to be turned around with the 8 drivers blasting the audience. Those appear to be a portable version with covers and a place for a mount to attach.

Since you can buy 901s sans EQ for 2 bills, these ugly, pro, 802s needing the eq would be at that range, probably with the eq.

Definitely a very rough pair of 802's. I just sold a pair in great shape with the eq to a pawn shop for 125. I'm sure they have them priced in store now for 250.

“Rough” is way beyond kind! Not sure how any self respecting audiophile could keep any part of his system in such disrepair. Personally I’d be embarrassed to offer them for sale in that condition.

No doubt, those were used in a pro environment. The scars give that away. I had a audio man that talked about using some version of those for onstage monitors. He said you could really pack on the power with no fear. They would take on whatever you gave them,
